The California Department of Health study revealed that pollution has contributed to a reduction in the sperm counts of an average of 1.5% per year between 1938 and 1990. A 30 year old male today has the sperm count of a grandfather in the 1930′s.
A Scottish study found the median sperm count declined 40% from 1940 to 1969.
A French study found an average male born in 1975 had one fourth the sperm count of a male born in 1925.
