Do Fertility Drugs Cause Autism?

A recent study that was reported on national TV revealed that the rate of autism
is higher in children of mothers that used fertility drugs. The general purpose of the drugs is to attempt to regulate the hormones to enhance fertilization.
In another small study they found the rate of autism is higher in children of
mothers that had invitro fertilizations. Hormone regulation is a factor here too.

It was suggested that it may not be a drug but the hormone influence of these
therapies.

It is my professional opinion that the researchers may have missed a major link.

Consider that many cases of infertility are related to the toxic body burden.

Heavy metals and chemical toxins alter:
Hormone function-
Nervous system development-
Immune function.

The heavy metals toxins and chemical toxins have shown a role in autism and
other learning disorders.

Could it be that infertility and autism have toxins as the common factor.

The book “Our Stolen Future” by Colborn, Dumanoski, and Myers presents solid
evidence for both infertility and learning disorders.

Daily we are exposed to more toxins than our body can remove naturally.
It makes sense to reduce our toxic body burden.
In my 30 plus years of clinical practice I have found only one product that safely and efficiently removes heavy metals and toxin chemicals. This is activated liquid zeolite. This is the clinoptilolite form of zeolite.
This cleansed negatively charged molecule attracts and traps positively charged heavy metals and chemicals yet research with activated liquid zeolite shows that is does not remove any nutritional minerals or electrolytes.
Heavy metals and toxic chemicals are related with many other health related problems. It is common sense to reduce our toxic body burden.

Start your body burden reduction now!

About 40 medicines intended for use by children have been recalled. Dr. Manny Alvarez on Fox News stated that the manufacturing facilities were inspected and were in deplorable condition.

Some medications had 2 or 3 times the stated amount of active ingredient. Others had particles in the liquid. Over dosing of these medications could be very harmful. And some medicines were very low in concentration.

Children’s Tylenol, Tylenol Plus, Children’s Motrin, Zyrtec, and Benadryl were among the 40 drugs recalled.

What Do You Do?

Dr. Alvarez recommends throwing out any of these drugs you have and buy generic forms- they are reported to be ok.

Question- How to safely dispose of the drugs. Do not pour them into the sink or toilet. Drug concentrations have been reported in many city sewer systems. Call your local city waste disposal department and ask how to get rid to them.

A Great Alternative.

I have used a special Healing Energy Formula for 30 years with great results.

So much for the slogan “Better Living Through Chemistry”

In the book Our Stolen Future the dangers of heavy metal and chemical toxicity are reviewed and the conclusion is that our reproductive health is great threatened. Evidence of this truth is in the increased number of young couples needing help to conceive.

The California Health Department stated that the sperm count of 30 year old men today is the same as a grandfather in the 1930’s. Our toxic accumulations in our systems have steadily increased since the 1930’s.

Dr Mercola is his blog, reviews the many chemicals that put the future of male babies at risk by their exposure to these chemicals in the womb. See the complete article at:

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/04/15/synthetic-estrogens-wreak-havoc-on-your-reproductive-system.aspx

The presence of heavy metals and chemical toxins threatens our immune system, the development and function of our hormone system and the nervous system. We must take action to reduce our bodies toxic burden. Click on the Vital Link on the right – Remove what we must not Keep... and discover more by this watching this short documentary video.

A great first step for a daily activity to reduce your toxic burden is to remove plastic containers for storing or cooking food and avoid the disposable water bottles. Recyle symbols 1,2,4 and 5 are the best to use.

The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy uses this saying:

“With your food, use 4, 5, 1 and 2. All the rest aren’t good for you.”

I recommend reading the article from Dr. Mercola.

A Source of Toxic Mercury that Hits Everyone.

A recent article in the scientific journal, Environmental Health, revealed new sources of mercury toxicity. HFCS or high fructose corn syrup was tested and nearly 50% of the samples contained mercury. Another study by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy found mercury in one third of 55 popular brand name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first or second ingredient. (As reported by the Organic Consumers Association)

What is HFCS?

HFCS is a sweetener found in sweetened beverages, bread, cereals, yogurt, soups, breakfast or snack bars, and lunch meats. Americans average 12 teaspoons of HFCS per day. Teenagers and other high consumers may get 80% more than the average person.

“Mercury is toxic in all its forms” said David Wallinga, M.D. in the article. The concern for our children in their consumption of these foods and the ingestion of mercury from these sources has not been considered previously. Could this be contributing to the increase in developmental and learning problems in children?

This may cause you to ask, “What other sources of heavy metal toxins are there that we don’t know about?” It is very likely that we have not identified several other sources of toxic metals that we ingest though our food, water and air.

What Can You do?

I am grateful to have found the liquid activated zeolite called Natural Cellular Defense NCD) to safely and effectively reduce my toxic burden of heavy metals and chemical toxins. Heavy metals and chemicals are well known to be triggers for diseases such as cancer. I have lost my father, two brothers, and a sister to cancer. Our whole family takes NCD daily.

Heavy metals are a major cause of depression, irregular heart beats and contribute to chronic inflammation. This can also have a devastating effect on our second brain.

It is important to minimize all levels of heavy metals. Consider: if the maximum safe level for mercury is X and the maximum safe level of lead is Y and the maximum safe level of cadmium is Z- what happens when you have the maximum safe level of more than one toxic metal? Such as X+Y or X+Z or X+Y+Z?

The maximum safe level is determine by the amount of a toxic metal that will kill 1 out 50 rats. When the rats were given the maximum safe level of mercury and aluminum- all 50 rats died. Do you believe that we are adequately protected from exposure in our foods from multiple toxic metals?

No way do I believe our food safety standards are established with the consideration of the presence of multiple toxic metals. That is why I urgently recommend that everyone take action, aggressive action to reduce your toxic burden.

Read the labels on the processed foods you consume. This can help you reduce your ongoing exposure. I have avoided HFCS for several years and now I have an even greater reason.

The historic record flood level we had from the Red River of the North has certainly added stress to the lives of the people with homes and businesses in low lying areas. Nearly everyone in the communities along the river have been affected by the situation.

Benefits from the Flood.

The lessons were learn from this flood can have a great impact on our lives and future. Fortunately this flood was not the type of flood seen from a sudden deluge of water from a dam breaking or a sudden down burst from a thunderstorm. We had time to get ready. We now understand more and can be better prepared next time.

We knew about the above normal precipitation last fall.

We knew about the moisture in the snow pack in the river’s drainage area.

We heard the predictions of flooding.

We listened and prepared.

If we had waited to see the water it would have been too late. When the water is in your yard the dikes had better be in place.

The efforts by thousands of people and the disruptions in our lives were huge. The results were nearly unbelievable.

When we compare the processes of the flood to our health we can see some very interesting correlations.

When small things appear that are out of the ordinary, we should pay attention. Early efforts can save us thousands of dollars in health care costs.

Fatigue, allergies, pain in the low back or neck and…

One example that many people experience is fatigue.

In the beginning they feel a bit tired, more than normal.

But they shrug it off for a variety of reasons.

Other people their age may also mention it and attribute it to aging.

Yet many people their age are doing fine and seem to have abundant energy.

Over several months or even years this continues to get worse and affects their quality of life.

Medically they have not found any problems in the annual physical.

Eventually they may be given a drug or have a series of tests run with no significant finding.

The doctor visits become more frequent and costly.

This can drag on for years and they may eventually develop a medically diagnosed condition.

What often is the problem is the body’s reaction to the heavy metals and chemical toxins. These toxic substances interfere with the natural energy production and fatique is the result. Later these toxins will cause some other disease of aging. Nearly every disease of aging is related to heavy metals.

Medically it is very rare to test for the presence of toxic metals and chemical toxins unless it is an emergency poisoning. There has not been a published study on urinary excretion of heavy metals. Why? There is no pharmaceutical drug that can safely and effectively remove the toxins. It is the summation of several toxins that causes big problems. Individually they are within “safe levels”.

Everyone has a toxic burden. It is not a matter of if you have a toxic burden, but of how much and what affect it will have on your health. To discover more go to this 9 minute documentary about toxins.

Fatigue, headaches, muscle and joint pain, allergies, weight gain, low back pain and many other common problems have been relieved by reducing the toxins. There now is a product to reduce our toxin burden. A study has been accepted for publication and should be in a professional journal soon.

Be prepared by recognizing the early signs and take action now. When the diagnosis is given it may be too late.

Research suggests that up to 85% of people could be deficient in vitamin D without knowing it. We are just beginning to see the potential for less-than-optimal health. In fact, some scientists call for urgent action.

Why?

Because current scientific research suggests that all cells and tissues in your body have vitamin D receptors . It is logical to conclude that every cell requires vitamin D for its well-being.*

Research suggests that up to 85% of people could be deficient in vitamin D without knowing it. We are just beginning to see the potential for less-than-optimal health. In fact, some scientists call for urgent action.

Why?

Because current scientific research suggests that all cells in your body have vitamin D receptors . It is logical to conclude that every cell requires vitamin D for its well-being.*

Not only that, but vitamin D is required for the regulatory function of over 2,000 genes in your body. We know that in some cases, if one gene malfunctions, serious health issues can develop.

Vitamin D engages in very complex metabolic processes within your body. Scientists believe that vitamin D serves a wide range of fundamental biological functions relating to many aspects of your health. I refer you to the website of the vitaminDcouncil.org

Your skin naturally produces your body’s supply of vitamin D from direct exposure to bright midday sun with a mere ten or fifteen minutes’ exposure per day.

But for decades, we have received the misinformation campaign from the media and conventional medicine that created a fear of sunshine. Therefore, most people either intentionally or unintentionally avoid the sun — or smear on sunscreen that blocks the beneficial wavelengths that produce vitamin D in your skin.

Vitamin D is VITAL for all of Your Family’s Health

Having too little vitamin D may not have any outwardly obvious signs. Yet vitamin D (specifically the vitamin D3 form) impacts an incredible array of support for systems and functions in your body…(see the vitamin D Council website)*.

Since healthy levels of vitamin D protect and promote so many of your body’s functions, a deficiency may mean your body lacks the tools it needs to keep you in optimal health*…

Making sufficient vitamin D a very important issue for you to address!

Because naturally, you want to be at your peak so you feel great, and accomplish so much each and every day.

How Can You Be Sure You’re Getting Enough Vitamin D?

Realistically, you have just three ways to obtain the vitamin D your body needs.

I’ve long been an advocate that the absolute best way to get vitamin D is through direct sunlight on your skin. It’s the most natural way to acquire your D, and your body self-regulates the amount you receive.

But what if you live in northerly climates where direct sunlight is unavailable for months at a time, as it is in most of the continental U.S.? Short of moving to Hawaii, you still have two alternatives.

One alternative is to regularly use a tanning bed that utilizes UV-B rays such as the revolutionary tanning beds. Whatever tanning bed you use, please be very sure it includes UV-B rays, so you get the exact rays that provide you optimal health benefits.

Your third alternative is internal supplementation with vitamin D3. We use an inexpensive liquid form.

If you supplement with vitamin D3 you should have your vitamin D levels tested to ensure you do not overdose with it. You and your physician need to be aware of your vitamin D levels so you can adjust your supplementation accordingly. This is a customized approach — not a one-size-fits-all. Some physicians are wary of vitamin – recommend the vitamin D council website.

Now that the necessary caution is given– studies suggest that most people are deficient in vitamin D — not overdosing with it.

Are You Getting Enough Vitamin D?

Just who is most likely to need vitamin D supplementation? I include some general guidelines here. To be sure of your levels have your levels tested. The toxicity level of vitamin D is very high. One source gave 176,000,000 units per day as lethal. I recommend 4,000 to 6,000 IUs per day. The safety of taking vitamin D can be related to the statement by Dr. Holick that he could support the concept that vitamin D supplementation can be justified living at the equator.

Some population groups are more likely to have lower-than-optimal vitamin D levels than others. But remember that 85% are estimated to be deficient. Are you one of the 85% — or in one of these groups that may suggest deficiencies?

People with limited sunlight exposure. During the long grey winter months in northern latitudes,(most of the US) you may need to supplement your vitamin D3 unless you have access to a safe tanning bed.

However, even during summer many of us spend most of our time indoors. Most people get very little sun exposure during the summer. Your reasons might include working an indoor job during all the peak sunlight hours, avoiding the heat of the day, or cultural dress codes.

Even on the weekend, if it’s rainy, you may miss sun exposure. If that’s your situation, you probably don’t receive the vitamin D you need.

Your car, home, and office windows block most of the sun’s wavelengths that your skin needs to produce vitamin D? So don’t count on getting it indoors — or in your car.

Further, if you live in an industrial area with high-sulfur content air pollution (acid haze) blocking the sun’s rays, your levels are likely low.

Your bare skin needs at least 10-15 minutes of exposure to direct sunlight every day to produce the vitamin D you need. Just as with windows, jackets and long pants also block the sun’s valuable wavelengths.

Overweight people. Individuals who are overweight often have considerably higher needs for vitamin D because vitamin D is oil soluble and hidden in their fat.

Pregnant women. New evidence suggests that vitamin D levels during pregnancy may be critically important for you and your baby.

The elderly. As you age, your skin loses the ability to generate vitamin D. Plus, the elderly tend to spend more time indoors.

Dark-skinned people. Darker-skinned people have higher melanin levels, which blocks UVB radiation and limits the body’s ability to produce vitamin D3.

What’s more, vitamin D is very rare in foods, and is only available in very limited quantities in eggs, liver and fatty fish.

So if you’re in one of these groups above, or you spend your winters above 30 degrees latitude, (north of southern Texas or the north of Florida) or otherwise determine that you need vitamin D3 supplementation, I have great news for you…A 3-4 month’s supply of vitamin D3 is about $4.00 per month. Our family is having a very healthy winter.

If you look at the compounding of D deficiency with the body’s toxic burden you can see the need for very powerful actions to improve your health safety. Using liquid activated zeolite and vitamin D3 is your best choice.

My last writing about the 8 baby news item was about a reason men have become less fertile. Now why women have become less fertile.

The fact that an unmarried woman can become artificially impregnated raises ethical and moral issues indicating flawed regulatory oversight and personal judgment.

Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common cause of infertility in women today. An imbalance in the hormones that control release of the egg from the ovary results in an incomplete release of the egg and the formation of cysts.

Several physicians have written that a major cause of the hormone dysfunction that leads to this condition is affected by a chronic elevation of serum insulin. Insulin is the hormone necessary to control the levels of sugar in the blood. Excessive consumption of refined carbohydrates can cause a chronic elevation in serum insulin.

In our diets of highly processed foods this is a major problem. Various forms of sugar give us the major source of our calories in the United States. Overweight adults make up nearly 70% of the population with nearly 35% being obese. This is just a sign of our poor food selections and excess consumption.

Elevated serum insulin cause excess estrogen in men and excess testosterone in women. When this continues, masculine traits can develop. The testosterone excess interferes with estrogen/progesterone balance and FSH and LH as well. The resulting improper release of the egg contributes to the polycystic ovary syndrome.

It is very likely that a woman's toxic burden also contributes to the infertility problems. I have seen dramatic improvement in blood sugar levels when we reduce the toxic burden. This would indicate that the toxins may impair normal receptors on the cell for insulin. Many studies have observed toxic involvement in DNA function. In the last article I discussed the effect of a man's toxic burden on reduced sperm count.

It is imperative that we reduce our toxic burden. See the link on the right to" Remove what we must not keep....."

Do those activities and make the food choices that we know are best for our health and well-being.
